Here are a couple of  ideas for lesson plans using The Quest for Piptwynn's Scroll.

Short Stories

Have the students play the game The Quest for Piptwynn's Scroll. As two players are playing, either have them take notes of what occurs during the game, or have another student make notes. Using the notes write a short story based on the events that took place during the game. Discuss "artistic license" and the way that writers of historical novels will create interesting stories from archeological findings and old news stories.

Here is an example of a short story derived from game play - Klaahr Attack!

Limericks!

Limericks are fun to write and are a good way to introduce students to the rules of poetry. Limericks are used in the game The Quest for Piptwynn's Scroll to entertain lonely Hermits. Have your students come up with their own limericks honoring Titwynn's virtues!

Here are some examples of Titwynn Limericks.
